About the LJYE Workshop
In the fall of 2006 ensemble Directors John Calloway, Sylvia Ramirez, and Arturo Riera created the LJYE Workshop. The goal of the Workshop is to teach intermediate players the skills they need to perform in the advanced Ensemble. The Workshop provides a low pressure environment where students gain the fundamentals of Latin jazz while experiencing ensemble playing, soloing and improvising.
